We Could Have Helped Prevent the latest T-Mobile Breach

T-Mobile’s latest breach, its fifth in the last three years, included a lot of critical customer data. New details have emerged about how the breach occurred. The good news is that WhiteHawk’s capabilities could have alerted T-Mobile to this vulnerability, increasing the likelihood that customer data would have been protected. According to Axios, the hacker “said he broke through the T-Mobile defenses after discovering an unprotected router exposed on the internet, after scanning the carrier's internet addresses for weak spots using a publicly available tool.”
