The Average Ransomware Payment Is Rising


The threat of ransomware attacks grows with sophistication, when hackers infect devices with a virus and hold data hostage until a sum of money has been paid, As the attacks adapt, so do the payments. “According to Coveware’s Q4 2018 Global Ransomware Marketplace Report, the average ransom increased by 13% to $6733 in Q4 2018 compared to Q3’s $5973.”
