Warnings From California’s Blackouts

by The Lexington Institute

As electricity powered technology grows, so does the demand and strain on our power sources. Look no further than the recent major blackouts in California, which, as an opinion from the Lexington Institute's Paul Steidler states, is a warning for our energy department at large. With 70 percent of power transformers, 60 percent of circuit breakers, and 70 percent of transmission lines being at least 25 years old, there could be a trend of more blackouts and big spending if appropriate action is not taken. See the rest of Steidlers article from Inside Sources.
