Website Selling Access to Personal Data Seized by FBI

With the increasing frequency of data breach reports seen in the news, you may have thought more about whether your company’s information is compromised. New reports from fightingidentitycrimes, backed by an announcement from the Department of Justice, suggest that most of that compromised data is up for sale to cybercriminals on the dark web. The recent announcement revealed the FBI had seized a website containing 12 billion records.

  1. Audit login credentials
  2. Enable two-factor authentication
  3. Do not provide login, personal or financial information on unsecured sites
  4. Monitor social media accounts
